Trump is at least attempting both.

While I will give trump credit for 'CHALLENGING CHINA', he is falling far short in his mark.
What he is about to do is to make a deal that is very bad for the US in longer term agreements in the area of intellectual property and that was the core issue.
He does this only to have a deal he can say was done like the issue is now closed and short selling the US longer term for his own short term political gain.
As far as NK, on trump's watch, in just a few short years, they have completely modernized the nukes and missile batteries that will carry them.
Some progress.
Worse possible outcome. And no deal, not even bad one. No progress. NONE
Was it not trump who said that diplomacy does not work with these folks ?
Unilateral co-operation was not desired. His hands have not been tied by anyone but himself.
But truth be told on NK nukes, they are being helped by another nuke nation.
Why no action against them... because it might be Russia ???
