not really - it is a result of using our brains.
the goal was NEVER to get things done with work. the goal was always reach efficiency with the lowest use of energy.
the robots are also a result of this goal.

taking away work from a man and giving him UBE is like putting an animal in a zoo...sure the animal does not need to worry about anything, free food will be delivered...sure the animal can do as it wishes, except that one thing, what it was meant to do...taking away work from low skilled people in the name of profit is cruel and unusual punishment...it is a debilitating condition....de-evolution...

you still think too much in the NOW. just let your mind free and imagine it without that burden of work and money.
the worm in the apple didn't plant the apple tree and didn't harvest the apple either. all his work consists of eating it.
you should read about the history of the jews.
to work was prohibited for them in the most cultures.
what they did instead was learning and studying and lending money (as this was allowed).
in my future they could not lend money as nobody needs it.
but everybody could still study and learn. and whatever he will find out is for all.
true - THIS will be the start but not the final.
as soon as everybody have learned that we do not really need money and jobs as we do have machines doing all for us it will go into another direction.
this is the part marx, engels and other communists have missed in their vision.
with the options they had communism never works.
with robots and AI it will - even when it is still a very long way there.
WHO would lose if i am right ? NOBODY ! and this is why it can only become true in a yet far future.
