Take firearms out of it.
Automobiles are deadly. Simply by being careless, one person with an automobile can kill multiple people - by accident. Because of this, it's heavily regulated. You have to jump through hoops to get a driver's license. You have to take a class, take a written test, get a permit, get insurance, register your car, do behind the wheel training, and then take a driver's test... And still you get a restricted license. Then for the rest of your life you maintain your license, and you can lose it if you are not responsible.
Yet any eighteen year old can get a firearm in forty-eight hours just by not having committed murder.
WTF?
I am not saying take away firearms. I'm saying we need to regulate them.

^^^ This... No one but the extreme are saying we should ban all guns.. What we are saying is that they need to be better regulated and that maybe we shouldn't have such easy access to certain types of guns or maybe all guns. It shouldn't be so easy to get them..
