Chances are this will settle out of court for less than owed.
WHY.... BECAUSE HE CAN.
The alternative is to wait and wait and apply some hope you can stay afloat.
I know some local guys that do the same. And I have talked just as strongly against them.
They always pick contractors who are just able to do the job within what they are able to finance for it, knowing they can pinch their profits in less than half in the end from desperation to be paid and stay afloat.
The problem I have is why anyone does biz with these type folks when they know their history. Can't figure it out.
I was approached just 2 days ago for a contract with one of these types. I made excuses for being to busy right know to take on anything new. This particular guy has a history with me any others and is finally finding it hard to get anything done for his biz.
To talk to him, you would never know he was this type. They are very personable guys.
It's the bluff of trust.
When you swim with sharks, expect to be a meal.
