It's not about the guns, it is about the tactics and the law.
Republicans love to talk about how we are a nation of laws - until they don't like how they work. Congress has certain powers. They, for whatever reason, blocked the sale of these weapons. Trump didn't like that and has decided to just declare a national emergency to get what he wants.
This is that slippery slope everyone likes to bring up. This is twice now Trump has done this and I won't be shocked if he does it some more.
Sell them the weapons or don't, I don't give a shit. But if we are going to have laws they should be followed.
