The guy is offering to fix stuff and even offering you money and you're still pissed? I don't get it. No way a lawsuit would cost you less than what "lost" (and you would need to prove the amount lost). You have nothing to win and lots to lose in this scenario.
I think emotions are running wild over something that is easily fixed. I get that you're pissed, but take a breather.
