He never recovered after his first knock down. Whether the blow to his head did permanent damage is the question he has to answer.
Ruix is a very hard hitter and staying clear of his gloves is the only way to beat him. After Joshua floored him he went in steaming for a fast finish and that was his big mistake. Ruiz recovers fast from a knock down as we saw.
