It was mentioned in an article about strange foods eaten around the world.
My sprinkles or jimmies have two grams of sugar per tablespoon. That’s much less than cereals and soda but the food coloring scares me. I have a teaspoon about twice a week on sugar free ice cream.
Funny story: I was telling my nurse today about fairy bread. She asked how I learned it was real and without thinking said, “oh Mr Bald Bastard from Australia confirmed it” and she got quiet. “Do you have nicknames for all your friends like Mr Bald Bastard?”
We laughed and I realized what I’d said! I briefly explained that it’s a nickname on a forum but between that and fairy bread, she now is convinced that I’m doing illegal drugs with my iced coffee!
(This reminds me that a friend used to scoop Crisco with her fingers, roll it in sugar , and eat it. I tried it once. NEVER again.)
