The Ukraine is a real poor country, but there is a lot of rich people. As about Russia, so it's #2 in the world by the number of dollar billionaires. Poor people don't go to restaurants and clubs where a price of champagne is
18,000 ... 55,000 RUB (~ $280 USD ... $860 USD) per a bottle. For example, a personal membership in "Soho Rooms" night club (Moscow) is €2000 a month. So it's a bit naive to think you will be a richest guy in such places... Before the financial crisis of 2014 when US dollar was 2x times cheaper to rubble than now, one guy who I know has paid 120,000 RUB (about $4000 USD) for a night with a whore form one of these clubs. Yes, when we are talking about pubs, so the Moscow price for an alcohol is about twice cheaper than say in London, but it's still pricey, so poor people don't hang out in pubs. That's a fatal mistake for the foreigners that think they will be kings with their money here...
