I'm sad to see Manual Transmissions go, but I understand the reason. As fun as they are, they suck in the city, they are slow compared to automatic, add a lot of weight and extra parts, and very very expensive to service.
I can't wait until GM rolls out the electric Corvette. (And electric Camaro).

Automatics are heavier than manuals and require more maintenance and parts. You know what happens when those clutches inside the wear out? A full trans rebuild. On a manual all you would do is replace the clutch which doesnt require a full overhaul.
Autos are MUCH more expensive to service than a manual.
