Deliberately misrendering HTML is an odd and dangerous approach for a browser. They're trying to leverage their near monopoly in order to bully webmasters into conforming to their vision of the internet. W3C sets the standards which we work with, not a lone proprietor like google

BTW, if anyone is wondering, this email is apparently in regards to a pop-under on my site which google claims they must "protect" their browser users from. Perhaps they're concerned it might be a distraction to one of their 25 minute youtube ads they force users to click on to dismiss...
This has been going on for about 3-4 years. It's your own problem for not adjusting sooner or knowing better.
