A new Crisis On Infinite Earths set photo reveals Michael Keaton’s Batman will make an appearance of sorts in the crossover.
Michael Keaton made his first appearance as the Caped Crusader in Tim Burton’s Batman and reprised the role three years later for the sequel Batman Returns. To date, Michael Keaton’s portrayal of Batman remains one of the best in the eyes of many, some of whom would love to see the revered actor return to play the character again one day.
While The CW’s Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover, which will assemble multiple actors from DC projects past and present, does not appear to include any actors from DC feature films (excluding Superman actor Brandon Routh), it appears the creative team found a way to pay tribute to Michael Keaton’s Batman. A behind-the-scenes photo from the set of Crisis on Infinite Earths reveals a copy of the Gotham City Gazette where Michael Keaton’s Bruce Wayne / Batman is pictured for a story detailing the billionaire’s pending marriage to Selina Kyle.
