If you talk to talent, this totally does happen. Maybe only to women who look a certain way.
Standard media tends to cover stories which fit a certain narrative. A girl is repentant about her porn career or male talent gets accused of rape and they are all over it. You are never going to see headlines like
Hot Girl Given Really Bad Time at Airport.
This is not just a US thing, as Canadians can be brutal the other side of the border as well. Try being over a certain age with a one-way ticket and they decide you might be coming for their free doctors or some nonsense.
