Traffic from traffic networks is not going to be as good as organic.
Take a look at the sites that have banners up for these networks and you'll see why.
However, that doesn't mean it's all bad news nor should you not make use of it. Just realize you'll be getting more experienced surfers who probably aren't as prone to open their wallets on their first visit. As others have said in this thread, it may not convert as well (or at all), but it could help your site grow. And if your content is unique enough, a sizable amount of those users may turn into frequent visitors who end up signing up down the line. It's a numbers game and a time game as well.
