A shame really, people think they're doing something good switching to battery powered cars, but in point of fact they're ever so slightly worse for the environment when you consider the pollutants involved in manufacturing them vs. traditional cars. The batteries are problematic as well, as they're toxic and if they end up in a landfill, it poisons the water table.

Hydrogen will alleviate all of that and be more efficient, but there's been no significant investment in it.
