a Jamaican artist Alkaline got into trouble a few years back for faking his eyeball tattoos (he used contacts to create a look). he was a not so rich kid who came up a bit hard and he was amazed that people copied him with the real thing, he didn't think anyone would be idiotic enough to follow his lead on that. they all came up at the knee of Bounty Killer so all the beefs were ridiculous, dancehall has only recently stopped eating its own. but I do think he used his influence in a cavalier manner
