This isn't because you are 'attracting it' Its because before you decided to buy he car, your brain marked those other cars and adverts as irrelevant, and filtered them out. Once you had set off on the path of intended purchase, your subconscious marks them as being relevant, and you notice them.
You can wake up everyday and visualise a bag of money being left on your front doorstep, but the chances of it happening BECAUSE you imagine it are zero.
