About 10 years ago, a close friend of mine produced a low budget horror movie and asked me to help with marketing it online, so I basically moved into his house for a week. Anyways, before this we were mostly meet up at the local watering hole type buddies. He had two English Mastiffs. Super awesome dogs.
Anyway, his wife and I were pretty good buddies. She's the high five / huggy type when she drinks. At the end of the week and working 12-16 hour days, we BBQ'd and drank our asses off. He'd warned me that the dogs were his wife's and told a few stories about them not letting strangers get near her and all this. By this time, I thought the dogs and I were pretty tight.... long story short, she'd said something or other that I found hilarious so my drunk ass went to give her one of those drunken idiot high fives that you see coming from outer space. Within seconds, these dogs went from farting on the couch to me being pinned up against the stove.
I've wanted a Mastiff ever since, but I love my GSD's and my wife doesn't want 3 big dogs.
