Love what SpicyM just shared, these are great tricks.
May I add;
- Make quality content (there's always ppl who pay for it)
- Zen the noise out and concentrate on your paying customers (give perks, attentions etc...) while trying to educate the rest of the idiots who think everything is free on the internet.
Since it's a war no one can win, just brush it up and keep doing your best.
