I live in Boise. The flu thing is probably an aberration - we usually get hit as hard as Oregon and Washington. It's still nice here, but getting over-run with CA refugees. All the farms are disappearing for cheap housing, apartments, etc. Massive urban sprawl going out in all directions. Our road widening projects cannot keep pace with the influx of people, and the schools are over crowded. Traffic can now be just as bad as Portland and soon Seattle.
