It's funny, your first comment was - 'age verification would be good for the adult community' (in other words, pornographers would make more money).
Then you accuse anybody against the bone headed age verification laws of wanting children to access pornography.
How about we all care about our livelihoods, and we all care about the welfare of children, and some of us just think that these age verification laws were clumsy and ineffective and an excuse for broader censorship, and others (like you) think they'd be an opportunity for the adult industry to be more profitable?
If you really wanted to stop children accessing pornography badly enough, you would make pornography illegal and put anyone posting 'indecent' material online in prison for 20 years, as the likes of China and Saudi Arabia do. Anything other than that is a middle-ground, and we're entitled to discuss what that middle ground should be.
