They're not worried about membership/content partners because it's an xvideos whitelabel owned by xvideos. The content partners are on xvideos and xnxx gets the content.
You're right, it is surprisingly lightly monetized. I got nothing but 1 preroll and banners just now. No pop. But remember, a site with traffic like xnxx is gonna have *way* better CPM on their banners than you're gonna get on exoclick.
I'm also thinking you're right, it's not passive SEO. But the backlink profile is just too massive for me to even begin to sort through it to figure out exactly what they might be actively doing.

Shit so xvideos owns them? How did I miss that? So this fucking company is sitting on two top 20 sites? If I had that kind of world girdling traffic I'd optimize that shit. Not the SEO, clearly that guy is a genius, but the revenue side. I'd even work on mainstream campaigns. Pornhub now has the intro music on lots of mainstream stuff, even on tiktok the joke is "when you boyfriend can't make you cum" then she goes into a room, slams the door, and you hear that pornhub community intro music. So they are in the zeitgeist - they have a very active partnership program that some on here even claim gets $12+/cpm but xvideos is an 800 pound gorilla just sitting there.
