Looks like the truth about good diet is totally opposite of what modern medicine has taught us after WWII.
by eating all that junk food? what magical fast food places doesn't use those oils?... Your cholesterol can be through the roof by eating super strict keto diet as well, that doesn't mean shit. In his case it's clearly genetic. Also, younger people tend to get away with more but when they hit a certain age shit piles on fast so its good to keep an eye out.

Btw cholesterol has got to be the dumbest measure of health a doctor can do, right up there with BMI.

If your cholesterol is somewhat balanced and not too high on the ldl you are better than having the opposite but if your triglycerides are high the rest doesn't mean shit. If your omega 3/6 ratio is heavy on the 6's? your arteries aren't going to do too well long term either so his eating fish frequently is a good idea and probably helping more than most things he is eating.

There are definitely some of us that can get away with more than others, but one thing is definitely universal. Eating more vegetables and unprocessed food more often than not is a healthier way to go no matter who you are.
