I am not new to the "internet" thing
I have been up and running since 2004.... But I make content and sell it on my own website. GFY member built it for me 2 times. First time in 2004 and a different one did a re built and upgrade in 2016. But you are 100% correct I do NOT go with the flow. I stick to what works for me. And thus I have NO clue about the trends and what worked then and not now.
BTW: My geeks ( a great GFY member team) installed an affiliate program....:" You must have it, they said" and so I did. Then I paid over $1,000 in commissions to this affiliate. Out of curiosity I finally looked at his "tube/blog" type of site and found out he has pirated most of my content ( as well as many other content owners), so I have de facto paid a thief for stealing my content. Suffice to say, I have cut him off.
BTW: I also have a channel on PornHub, so am I fucking affiliate? I hope not !
