There are a lot of movies on this list that he simply won't understand because he didn't live or know about PRL era... they won't have the same effect. Yes, Dzień Świra is a great movie but not something one will understand it without spending 5-10 years in Poland at least...

Here is whole Dzien Swira with english subtitles. This is classic polish comedy but without living here it will be hard to "get it"
