Likewise, if it all looked 'Fine' or 'As I would expect it to look' I certainly wouldn't be getting a 'SpiderX Pro' out, and looking for something to complain about like some of these youtube reviewers do...

Yeah I get what you are saying - "if its good enough for you, keep it".. which is true.
I was more referring to your statement "I dont think theres really much of a difference these days", because there is.. and you dont need to pay 5 times more for it, but at least 1.5-2* yes. So in case you are getting a 80" something then the price difference will be huge.. but if you are getting something relatively smaller (55-60"), then dont.
Oh and if you are planning to watch real 4k content then get at least 60". We couldn't get that size because of the rooms limitation and where the TV is located, but 55" is small for that.
