USD isn't being heavily invested in right now because the interest rate is low. That's pretty easy to figure out.
The USD won't lose reserve status until our entire country, and thus our military, collapses. As long as we can reach out and touch anyone with our military within a matter of a few hours, the USD will maintain reserve status. Full stop.
