There are several key steps that you need to take to increase your success in raising money. You will need:
- a story about your friend, who is she, and what makes her life more special and worth saving, or why reduce her suffering when there are others that also have cancer.
- before and after cancer photos
- documentation to be posted online that can be verified that she indeed has cancer, where exactly she is being treated, proof of her expenses, etc.
- reach out to all her closest friends, neighbors, colleagues and relatives asking for small contribution of financial help and assistance with spreading the word about the fundraising campaign.
- contact various women's support groups for cancer, and more importantly the Serbian community outside of Serbia.
You are/she is either Muslim or Orthodox Christian. I don't understand the Muslim traditions, but you have two opportunities with the Orthodox churches. Ask them to share your friends story and GFM link to their members via email, and/or ask that during the weekly church service, a second collection basket be passed around in the name of Cancer and your friend, and ask that 50-100 percent of that cash/check collection be forwarded to XYZ Bank, Account 000 for the care/expenses of ___________. Create a flyer/poster graphic for marketing material.
