Well, I don't speak for anyone else, and barely myself sometimes. I think I was a bit irritated at the dismissal of the comment about stolen content, since while that's not your intent - you just want to make a cool site to browse porn and make a bit of cash from it - it's a bit silly to say people have agreed to have their stuff on redgifs, when we all know there's no possible way to know that. I apologize too though, and hope that's a line drawn under it, because I hate being negative.

I've actually had similar thinking in a way, years ago I felt there was a weird separation between porn and non-porn. To me a porn site is a site with porn on it. There's no reason why the standards and techniques used in non-porn sites can't be used for porn sites, but I had the impression that these days, at least with major sites, which tend to be cam and tubes, that's what happened, and they were all well programmed, responsive, and all the jazz.

When you're talking about tubes and mobile experience, do you mean the majors or tubes that 'real people' have set up, possibly using a script?

There's no real excuse for a relatively basic site to not work everywhere in 2020, and I'm also with you in terms of preferring nice looking, stylish sites. And yet... while I like nice sites as a user, I'm not sure it's the best way to make money.

In my experience I think the best (performing) sites I've made have been the worst looking, just basic shit, not hideous but basically text with more or less one thing to click.

If you're an affiliate you want people to come to your site, but you don't want them to stay. And maybe if the site is too pretty people won't want to click the ugly ads.

Regarding the content, nothing prevent me to buy some legit one later when i'll get some traction, but I have to begin somewhere.
You don't even need to do that, just use content provided by the sponsors. Your embeds are short clips anyway. But you're totally correct in terms or getting traction first, and I admire anyone doing stuff, and this is the kind of comment I prefer to make, good luck with it.
