I read an article last night about the LA Fire Department telling people stop donating stuff to fire departments.... Seems a fire crew returned to the fire house after a few days of fighting fires only to discover they couldn't park their fire truck in the fire house because of a dozen pallets of bottled water. One fire house received 71 pizzas in a week.....
The amount of support for our firemen here locally is massive, but we might be over doing it.
I should mention... Our local police department has sent officers down to Yosemite to assist in evacuations, etc.... This is fucking insane. We are watching the fire outside of Tracy, California, where my mother lives.... The "evacuation warning" zone is getting a bit close there.
