But then what.

Then you are scared to death of getting just one case and so you stay locked down in fear, putting an enormous strain on all the citizens and on the economy and have trapped yourself in a corner with no way out.

New Zealand did this. They shut themselves off from the world, waited the virus out and had no cases for 100 days. They patted themselves on the back and the world looked upon them as a shining example of how to lock down and beat the virus. Then a few weeks ago cases started rising again and now they have 67 + cases with no idea where they came from since the borders remained closed. So they went back into lock down and will mandate masks soon and the people who adored their prime minister are starting to get fed up while their economy dwindles.

You either stay that way for 30 years and commit suicide or you accept the virus, take some precautions for the vulnerable and move on.

Yeah and this province was already is already on the edge of bankruptcy so I think we are in for a rough ride, we still havent learned how to live with covid and the seniors dont want to even hear any talk about opening to the rest of canada
