It's been quite the year hasn't it. And we ain't over it yet.
Business wise on a personal level, pretty much remains the same.
Socialising has changed obviously. Bars and restaurants here are open, but it will be interesting to see how busy the restaurants remain after today since the government scheme which basically meant your food bill was half price from Monday till Wednesday ends today. Places have been mobbed since that was introduced but i haven't checked it out for myself simply because i can't be fucked with eating somewhere overcrowded as shit now all just to save a few pounds. I get the idea since when restaurants did re-open people were still very edgy and unwilling to spend, but for me, i've gotten used to not dining out so i'm in no rush to do so now.
Sports have been back a few weeks but with the empty stadiums it still doesn't feel as if the new season has started for real. I feel like in a few years time we'll be looking back at all this like wtffff ??
My aunt who had covid-19 and spent exactly 100 days in hospital (many weeks on a ventilator) is back home and recovering thankfully. She is just very thin and weak now but hopefully over the next weeks and months she gets better and better.
The mask situation is still very odd and although most people are going by the current rules, many are not so, who knows what the next few months and indeed years ahead will bring but for now, yeah life is kinda paused.
Going on any type of vacation doesn't interest me at all just now...
