Xbiz.TV vs. Stars.AVN.com

Mainstream social networking is becoming more and more of a pain. I don't do adult publicity on Facebook at all. YouTube and Instagram have become downright cryptic in what's acceptable and what's not. Twitter has been tricky, and don't get me started on Tumblr.

As someone who's doing publicity and running an erotic art site, adult social media has been hit or miss for me. But now AVN and Xbiz have entered the social media arena, and I like it. There's kind of a built in credibility.

I know Stars.AVN.com is more in the range of JustFor.Fans and clip sites, but I like the Facebook feel. It's been user friendly and I feel comfortable using it for campaigns. However, I'm not seeing a large consumer base yet. It's been mostly sex workers. Great for pushing DomCon to Dommes and subs doing cam shows and clips, not so great for pushing to the average guy who's kink curious.

Xbiz.TV has been intriguing. I've experimented with YouTube, and Xbiz.TV has the same feel. While there's no options for blogs and pics, it's a good option for uncensored video blogging. I'm seeing a lot of potential. I've actually wondered if there's going to be a monetization option like YouTube in the future.

What's your take on this?
