So, a couple of weeks ago I posted this thread: https://gfy.com/fucking-around-and-b...lt-domain.html
It was a genuine query about whether a domain was suitable for adult of not.
In CAPS at the top of the post I wrote:
PLEASE DONT BUY IT.
Within 6 minutes ruff had replied saying if I hadn't bought it it's proberbly gone. I checked at the time and it was still available.
I then decided to buy it. I put the order in and thought it had gone through as it usually does the 100 or so times I have bought domains before.
I didn't even think about it until today when i go to use it and find it's not on my dashboard.
I start to panic thinking it's with a different register before the realisation that no, I don't own it.
I can't understand it as I remember buying it. I check my email and it says "failed".
So, the way I see it ruff bought the domain while I was trying to buy it. I wouldn't mind so much but I specifically said please don't buy it.
Hell, he didn't even wait the day out.
So, ruff

Your first mistake was posting an available domain that you wanted to register on a public board. Besides the active members of this board, there are many lurkers who read GFY, but never post. Secondly, you should realize that anytime someone starts a post or adds a post to a thread, it is moved to the top of the 1st page and it gets more attention. This includes posts by yourself. Your 3rd mistake is assuming ruff registered webcamreviews.net. I think that unless you have concrete proof that he registered the domain, you owe him an apology.
There are plenty of good .com domains available for anyone willing to put in the time to look for them. Forget about this incident and move on.
