You'd think after hanging around GFY since 2002 that I'd have gotten used to people sucking up to programs that are loose about paying affiliates every dime owed. But some of the biggest names in this business do it. I don't know if they fully understand the reputational cost. Maybe demonstrating loyalty to the established players is worth more in the short run, but in the long run? It's not a great way to display trustworthiness, and as J.P. Morgan famously said, "A man I do not trust could not get money from me on all the bonds in Christendom."
