To our Viewshare Partners,
We want to take this opportunity to thank you again for your patience and loyalty during what has been a very challenging time for all of us. When we were informed by Visa and Mastercard in December that they were suspending payment processing for Pornhub Premium we were devastated, particularly as this came only 2 days after we had launched new, far-reaching Trust and Safety Standards. As all of you are aware, this has widespread effects and is a blow to the entire adult industry. We know you all depend on this platform to monetize your content.
To show our appreciation for your continued partnership and to make up for the unexpected losses you have incurred as a result, we will be supplementing January earnings for all Viewshare partners. We will be applying December’s Viewshare rate to calculate January earnings. We hope this helps you to manage your operations in the short term.
Looking ahead, we have taken several measures that we believe will lead to the reactivation of payment processing, including the removal of content from unverified users on all our sites and the subsequent removal of all model content from Premium. In anticipation of payment processing being restored, we have since December, maintained premium accounts active, at no charge to our members. Eventual restoral of processing will allow us to enable future billing for our members, which will have a huge positive impact on Viewshare. We are confident we will receive positive news in February, but we know we can’t just wait for that answer to come.
With this in mind, we are happy to announce that we will be introducing a new program that will allow Partners to monetize their premium scenes and earn a share of the advertising revenue on pornhub.com. We will be following up with a separate email with more details on this.
We are very anxious to have a decision on payment processing and are prepared to move forward regardless of that outcome. Moreover, we are committed to running a platform where success is shared and content creators like you can monetize their content.
