Well, you are right on the first point I concede.  But on the second point I disagree. We live in an instant culture with extremely short memories. That's a pretty silly point to try to make. It's not apart of our culture anymore to go ride our horses off into the sunset after hunting buffalo all day, but children still learn about that history. You can watch cheesy documentaries about it on Youtube, History channel, etc.. Even read cheesy fiction books about it, too!
I'm sure some cry baby back in the 50's said the same thing about "parents just want the government and corporations to baby sit" when in reality, the only people I see whining about it or even mentioning it are dorks like you. Some have posted on FB mocking you cry babies, but most people don't give a shit.
The more remarkable part is that something from my parents' toddler years is still culturally known amongst youth today. That's not really normal at all - it's a testament to the brand's longevity.
You're just whining and making up excuses to whine. That's it. None of your "justifications" for whining have any merit.
