I have a few whitelabels which I promote through Reddit. It is tedious work so I am looking for ways to make bringing traffic easier.

Now, I see that here in the Buy Sell forum there are many people selling hardlinks, ad spots on their websites.

I search their main keywords on google to see if they have a good rank, but most of them don't have a good rank.

So, I don't understand. If a site has no google traffic, what's the value of buying a hardlink on it? Does it help with SEO or what?
