I do roughly 50% dividend stocks. I have one fund that consists only of dividend stocks and have designed it around a great lifestyle around retirement age.
The average person doesn't like dividend stocks because they are not sexy so they don't hear any hype and then have no interest. They will never skyrocket. Many of them barely move. Instead, they pay out consistently year after year (assuming you have picked the right ones.)
I love them.
