The clue is, they don't want more tourist in Amsterdam. They have enough. So the political party's try to stop it, also by banning airbnb. And than they want the group of museum and culture lovers instead of the red light and coffeeshop visitors.

Yes I understand what they want to do but it will not be successful and will cost the Dutch Government billions of dollars. People want sex and drugs more than they want to look at a Chagall painting or see the tiny room where Anne Frank lived.
Nederlanders love money more than they love museums, politics or anything else and when the Red Light/coffee shops go away watch what happens to the country.
