Even with software to help automate the animation, you still need to go through piece by piece and tweak things here and there. Having the mocap equipment also makes a huge difference. You need great facial recognition and movement capture for the most realistic movements. I think the biggest give away is the hair. Especially longer hair... More realistic hair is needed.

I personally have the capability to make very realistic humanoid characters. Having the ability to make actual people from their photos is also a time saver when making human characters. https://applebitemedia.com/3d_characters.php

I have been learning this since the middle of Jan. It is a hell of a lot of fun... at least for me. When starting a new game, the character creation is my favorite part so making characters is a game to me, not work.

The animation on the other hand, is fun, but a fuck of a lot of work.... Especially without the mocap gear and doing it by hand. So close.... only another 4k is needed. Woo Hoo!!!
I like your work a lot actually.

The life size photo pop ups are realistic AF. I thought I knocked Snoop Dog over in the store the other day.
