Vaccine passports aren't about whether
I think
you should get a vaccine.
- They're about governments trying to reopen as quickly as possible without overwhelming the hospital system.
- They're about reducing the societal cost of lots of people getting sick (there's better stuff to spend that money on).
- They're about governments trying to protect vulnerable populations.
- They're about vaccinated people trying to avoid mostly non-lethal side effects if they get COVID (which they still can get).
- They're about assuring vaccinated people that it's safe to go out and be around other people (and spend money - which helps the economy)
- They're about reducing forgeries in testing and vaccination documentation.
