Once you get numbers down covid can be better managed especially with lock downs.
Here in Aus there's zero community covid so life is normal, when it does come in it shows up in sewerage testing, they can just lock down very targeted suburbs because they know that's where it is so resources and extra testing can be ramped up in that area. Its so fucking easy, but you cant do that if there's cases in every suburb.
Problem here is the slow vaccine rollout, because there's been no community spread every person is venerable, Aus and NZ are gaping wide assholes if these new variants get in, and almost daily they're finding variant cases at our borders, so far they haven't escaped our quarantine systems but I presume they will, then its like a virgin country with no community immunity.
