Unfortunately, I chose the wrong day.
Everything went amazingly at first, with people almost desperate to relieve themselves of some small change and feel that they were 'doing their bit' to help the homeless etc, but it kinda worked a bit too well...
I quickly amassed almost absurd amounts of change, but with the banks being closed, I had nowhere to change it up! Then the pubs started getting funny with me for trying to pay in pennies and refused to serve me, and because of that I didn't really have anywhere to sit down.
Added to having to carry all the change with me as I emptied to traps, meant I was unable to get around as fast as I would have liked, so just after midday I called it a day and came home...
Cant lug pocket fulls of change around on a sunny day... I blame the thoughtless bastards who donated. If they had left paper notes instead of metal change, I could have stayed at it even longer, and helped even more people feel good about themselves.
Will wait for a cooler day next time, and make it a weekday too, so I can change up all that pesky coper into easily carryable, foldable notes
