Our recoupment has not changed significantly based on "dollar in and dollar out". We recoup about 6 to 8 months after release. More important to us: we double in about a year.

Thank you! This is more in line with what I myself have experienced and seen with other companies. But Duke says it takes him only 12 hours to recoup the initial shooting cost so either DD has many thousands of members or they are killing it on Joins (or both).
I am basing these assumptions - always a dangerous game, I realize - on a "typical" B/G hardcore shoot costing anywhere from $800-$3000+ (based on whether it is POV, a whole crew, a small crew, etc).
WHERE a company is filming makes a huge difference, too. If it's in the USA (especially California or Florida) it's going to be way more expensive than in Czech Republic, Hungary or South America (or some parts of Asia).
