you get what you pay for, and those of us with billable skills arent cheap, are usually grumpy and jaded and can afford to be picky with what we work on.
me, i aint a fucking whiny bitch though and ill communicate with my clients via whatever method they prefer, after all they are paying for my time.
never hire a coder for a project that wants to bill you per hour(unless they are on your payroll of course). get a well made spec sheet to them and get a finite price, anything that gets added, gets a price tag attached to it and added to an invoice. hourly wage to coders is a good way to get ripped off, they are incentivized to take longer and overbill.
