While reading your lines I felt I agree 100% but the last paragraph about Canadians is a different story, and I don't agree with that at all
Frankly, I don't have much experience with Canadians, but those who I know are fine people. I learned from South Park that Canada can be blamed for Bryan Adams and Celine Dion, which is totally true.
But this more or less sums up all my negative feelings towards Canada
Back to the original topic: what makes me sad is that I am [I should rather say I was..] a liberal/leftist guy until these times. I believe everyone has the right to 'have hard feelings'/ hate a group of people until they don't want to hurt or kill them. In my view, it is totally OK to dislike trans or gay ppl [not saying I am homophobe, but honestly I think this pride month is way too much and most gay/trans-related issues popped up in this thread already] and I know for a fact that nowadays if I think such things it means I am a hater or transphobe or homophobe. But I don't give a flying fuck.
