Pretty much.
It doesn't have any cause or effect to my business or personal life, so why be concerned with what those self-important idiots are doing?
These are like the people we all went to high school with (but worse thanks to the internet) looking to become the center of attention because of low self-esteem issues, jealousy or loneliness due to having no 'actual' life of their own or some kind of personality / mental health disorder (Bruce Jenner for example) and being unable to make real-life connections to fulfill their need to be accepted by society instead they try to design their own set of societal norms by 'influencing' others to their way of thinking.
This really is the dumbing down of America and a giant step towards the American Idiocracy, the fact the others are too inept to realize this, speaks volumes about a society that as a whole that has primarily been driven to stupidity due to low education levels, political pandering and a generalized need to 'feel special'
Facebook went down for 3 hours and people went mental, not knowing what to actually do with themselves... Think about that for a minute.
