- cams are not the best product for cold traffic
- most of your revenue will come from a small percentage of spenders, making it hard to judge traffic quality on smaller tests
If I were to start media buying for cams instead of dating, I would build a cam aggregator, register the user on my end, and api them to whichever cam site they wanted to watch. At least then you can collect emails and get a better idea of clicks vs registrations.
If you are unable to build something like this, I'd still host the lander and pull the live cams from a feed, and have the outclicks go through your tracking script so that you can track source productivity. This way you can also have some banners, tab links, and collect push subscribers, although each of those will be less than 1% of revenue.
