I'm glad they went more cartoony, it would be hard to make it look realistic and good using the same old engines and newer textures.
That being said, I think the right way to go here would have been to remake the maps and missions in the GTA V engine like various mods were trying to do. These are 20 year old games, so it's just lipstick on a pig.
I'll pony up the $60 though.
